What drives work in the UGREEN DXP2800?
The DXP2800 takes two 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA drives plus M.2 NVMe. Use any CMR NAS drive: WD Red Plus, IronWolf, Toshiba N300, or enterprise Exos. UGREEN imposes no branded-drive lock; check capacity on UGREEN's compatibility page and keep SMR out of RAID.

Drive-compatibility policy for this model
UGREEN uses standard drives with no proprietary lock. Any 3.5-inch CMR NAS drive works; confirm your capacity on UGREEN's compatibility page for the DXP2800.
Recommended CMR picks
- General / home: WD Red Plus or Seagate IronWolf in a two-drive mirror.
- Value: Toshiba N300.
- Bulk: Seagate Exos if noise is not a concern.
What to avoid
- SMR drives: a mirror still rebuilds; SMR stalls it.
- Desktop drives, not 24/7-rated.
Run the two bays as RAID 1 with matched CMR drives. The table lists in-stock CMR drives by price per terabyte.
