Do UGREEN NAS require specific drives?
No. UGREEN NASync units do not require branded or proprietary drives: they accept standard 3.5-inch SATA CMR NAS drives, plus SATA and M.2 SSDs on many models. Use IronWolf, WD Red Plus/Pro, Toshiba N300 or enterprise CMR drives, check capacity against UGREEN's compatibility list, and avoid SMR drives in RAID.
