What drives work in the UGREEN iDX6011 Pro?

The UGREEN NASync iDX6011 Pro is a six-bay AI NAS on an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H with 64 GB of soldered LPDDR5X. It holds six 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA drives, which UGREEN's spec table sizes at 32 TB each (208 TB in total with the SSDs), plus two M.2 NVMe slots at up to 8 TB each.

Drive-compatibility policy for this model

UGREEN uses standard drives with no proprietary lock: its product page says the NASync range is "widely compatible with third-party hard drives". UGREEN publishes a compatibility list, but it loads dynamically and we could not confirm iDX6011 Pro entries on it (checked 30 September 2026), so treat it as a recommendation and choose any 3.5-inch CMR NAS or enterprise drive up to 32 TB. UGOS Pro offers Basic, JBOD and RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10, with no SHR, so buy matched drives.

Recommended CMR picks

• Quiet office or home: WD Red Plus or Seagate IronWolf; six drives at 7,200 rpm are loud next to a desk.
• Throughput: WD Red Pro or IronWolf Pro, which the two 10GbE ports can actually use.
• Bulk value: Seagate Exos or Toshiba N300.

Where AI models go

The iDX6011 Pro is built to run AI models locally, and those models load far faster from its M.2 NVMe slots than from the drive bays. UGREEN does not state the slots' PCIe generation or lanes, but any NVMe drive beats a hard drive by minutes on a large model.

What to avoid

• SMR drives: they stall rebuilds; UGREEN itself advises against them.
• Desktop drives: not 24/7-rated.

The table lists in-stock CMR drives by price per terabyte on Amazon.ca. The iDX6011 Pro itself is not sold through a Canadian retailer we could find, but the drives are the same standard CMR drives sold everywhere.
