Which AI NAS can you buy in Canada?

Portrait of Amara OkonkwoBy Amara Okonkwo · Data checked by Owen Nakamura · Updated

Of the 27 AI-capable NAS units we track, 13 can be bought from a Canadian listing today (Amazon.ca or the maker’s Canadian store), 6 only through Amazon US, 3 only through resellers at inflated prices, and 3 not at all. Every price below shows its currency and the date we checked it, and each row links to the AI NAS calculator’s verdict for that box. Whatever you buy, a model running on your own NAS keeps your data at home.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases on Amazon.ca.

Buying across the border

When a model is only on Amazon.com, we show the US listing in US dollars, clearly labelled, because that is a real way to get it. Before you order, add up the landed cost: the exchange rate, cross-border shipping, and any duties and GST/HST due at import, which the carrier may collect with a brokerage fee. Warranty claims and returns are usually easier through a Canadian seller, and a slightly higher Canadian price can still be the cheaper choice once all of that is counted. We give no tax or legal advice here; your carrier and the Canada Border Services Agency set what is owed.

How this list is kept current

The tracker is generated from the same resolver as every price on this site, in a fixed order: Amazon.ca first, then Amazon.com, then the maker’s own store, then “not available”. Amazon listings refresh every six hours, and when a US-only model appears on Amazon.ca the row switches to the Canadian listing automatically. Maker-store prices and availability are checked by hand and dated. Picks and reasoning are in the best AI NAS in Canada; how each verdict is calculated is in the AI NAS calculator.

Frequently asked questions

Is it worth buying an AI NAS from the US?

Sometimes, but price the whole landed cost. Amazon.com prices are in US dollars, and a shipment into Canada can carry cross-border shipping, duties, and GST/HST, plus a brokerage fee depending on the carrier. Warranty service and returns are also simpler with a Canadian seller. Compare the total against a Canadian listing before you order.

Why does an AI NAS show no Canadian offer?

Because none of the sources we check had one: no Amazon.ca offer, no Amazon.com listing that ships to Canada, and the maker's own store either skips Canada or does not list the model. We only track Amazon and makers' own stores, so another Canadian retailer may still stock it. We re-check the Amazon listings automatically every six hours and update the maker stores by hand.

How current are these prices?

Each price shows the date it was checked. Amazon.ca and Amazon.com prices refresh with our six-hourly sync; maker-store prices are checked by hand and dated. If a price cannot be verified from a real listing, we show 'Check price' instead of a number.
