The UGREEN NASync iDX6011 Pro is a 6-bay NAS on the Intel Core Ultra 7 255H (16 cores, 16 threads) with Intel Arc 140T graphics and a 13 TOPS NPU, with 64 GB of soldered LPDDR5X. For a private chatbot it runs Llama 3.1 8B at 3.7 to 20 tok/s at Ollama’s default 4k context as shipped (comfortable reading speed). The largest model we would run day to day on the iDX6011 Pro is Qwen3 30B-A3B (5.9 to 31 tok/s). Where to buy it from Canada is below, with every configuration’s price and the date we checked it.

Memory: 64 GB, soldered, one configuration

The iDX6011 Pro’s 64 GB of LPDDR5X is soldered to the board and UGREEN sells the iDX6011 Pro in one configuration only, so there is no RAM to buy and nothing to choose. That is why this model has no RAM page. What 64 GB lets it hold comfortably at Ollama’s default 4k context, with 2 GB left for the NAS software: Llama 3.3 70B, Qwen3 32B, Qwen3 30B-A3B, Gemma 3 27B and 8 smaller models. The ceiling is speed, not space: at 134.4 GB/s, Llama 3.3 70B would run slowly, which is why the recommendation above is smaller.

Local AI on this box

Llama 3.1 8B runs at 3.7 to 20 tok/s as shipped (low confidence). The largest model we would run day to day on the iDX6011 Pro is Qwen3 30B-A3B (5.9 to 31 tok/s). The memory is soldered, so the only real upgrade for local AI is a stronger box.

AI photo search (Immich): iGPU-accelerated through OpenVINO (Iris Xe/Arc, as Immich documents). AI camera detection (Frigate): Hardware detection on the Intel iGPU via OpenVINO.

Strengths

  • 64 GB of 8400 MT/s LPDDR5X (134.4 GB/s) as shipped: enough to hold Llama 3.3 70B with no upgrade.
  • 2 × 10GbE (link-aggregable to 20 Gbit/s): fast enough that a model library or photo archive on the NAS feels local across the network.
  • Expansion: 1 × PCIe Gen4 ×8 slot and 2 × Thunderbolt 4 (40 Gb/s).
  • Intel Quick Sync on the Intel Core Ultra 7 255H (16 cores, 16 threads) hardware-transcodes Plex and Jellyfin, including 4K.

Trade-offs

  • The memory is soldered: 64 GB is permanent, and UGREEN sells this model in one configuration only.
  • UGREEN does not publish the PCIe generation or lane count of the M.2 slots, so their real speed is unconfirmed.
  • Not sold through a Canadian retailer we could find: it ships from Amazon US, with cross-border costs.
